Where’s God When Things Go Wrong?

Here at Living Scripture Strong, we have always anchored our business and our lives on the Jeremiah 29:11 scripture:

For I know the plans I have you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.

What an amazing and beautiful promise from God.

It is an assurance for the future. Whatever the challenges might be in front of you today, you can always trust him to change tomorrow for the better.

This verse is a declaration of God's intimate relationship with His people. God is not leaving his children to suffer like a sheep among wolves, rather is involved in building a new future to prosper you.

There is an inspiration of hope found in this scripture.

While our human nature is to focus on these two words…

PLANS AND PROSPER

They tend to us away from the true interpretation of this verse. We tend to think it means God intends for us to be rich and for everything to go perfect, every day.  And we get disappointed and lose our faith when things don’t go our way or we see a turbulent time in our lives.

What God is reminding us of is that He has a specific plan for our life.

Plans for our….

relationships

career

spiritual growth

emotional health

and our well being.

And we have to remain engaged in our faith even when things don’t seem to be going the way we think they should go.

Sometimes, we need to GROW through the turbulence.

Sometimes, God calls us to change through a situation.

And oftentimes, after the storm, we can look back and see how God used it to change our hearts and make us stronger than we were before.

Jeremiah 29:11 is God’s promise that He has you in the palm of His hand and always trust that God has a plan for anything you are experiencing.

Always trust and believe in God, because He will never fail you if you are Living Sсriрturе Strоng!
