Pray Before You React

Pray Before You React

I am a very impulsive person. I make decisions in the blink of an eye and sometimes, regret them afterward. When it comes to purchases, plans, and even arguments, it's easy for me to let my impulse take over.

When I'm in a situation that may cause me to react in an impulsive way, I pray. Instead of being mean, hateful, and making decisions I may regret, I reach to God for guidance. Talking to God is one thing that brings me to a level-headed place, calms me down, and makes my impulses go away.

I encourage you to always pray before you react, in any situation. With your kids, spouse, friends, coworkers, seek guidance from God first and react later. You never know how your words may affect your relationship with someone.

Wherever you go today, whatever you do, and whoever you meet, try to be an encouraging witness for God. Whatever you accomplish or fulfill, give God the credit for allowing you the skills, gifts, and time to achieve your goals. In everything, give glory to God. In all that you are, glorify Him today.

Every morning I have my Coffee with God. I drink from my Coffee with God Ceramic Mug, I read my devotional, write in my prayer journal, and spend time with my Lord and Savior.
