Does life ever take you by surprise? Throw something at you that you weren’t expecting or take something away you never wanted to lose? Begin a new journey that maybe you weren’t fully prepared for?
The season of Fall brings forth a lot of change in life, not just in the weather and the looks of the trees but also throughout people’s lives. Whether it be a change in career path with the start of the Fall school season, new job opportunities opening, new marriage, new life happenings, and sometimes hardships. Regardless, Fall is the beginning of a new chapter in life.
"Be strong and of good courage, do not fear or be in dread of them: for it is the Lord your God who goes with you; he will not fail you or forsake you" (Deuteronomy 31:6 RSV).
Reverend Ed of unity.org, in his article, states “the verse that has attracted your attention comes from that reassurance. ‘"Be strong and of good courage; do not fear or be in dread of them: for it is the Lord your God that goes with you; he will not fail you or forsake you." I would want to shorten that a bit for your purposes. Maybe "Be strong and of good courage; the Lord your God goes with you."’
The only important question is what the words will mean to you each time you see them. To me they seem to be a loving but firm affirmation that we are never alone. We may sometimes feel abandoned by other people and think we are all alone as we face the challenges of life. But as infinite, eternal spiritual beings, we are always One with the Presence of God within, and one with a universal energy of Love that enfolds and embraces all of life.”’
The scripture Deuteronomy 31:6 is prevalent in this time of the year, all throughout the season of Fall, for life as it emphasizes that God is always with us. No matter how often you may be afraid of change whether it be good or bad or if you’re afraid of what could happen next, he is there to remind us to walk without fear as he is always near. Have faith that with his help, you can and will, make it through whatever life throws at you in this time.
Do not be afraid of change and new direction, look forward, hold your head up high and Live Scripture Strong.
