Memory Verse

Romans 6:22 - You have been set free from sin. God has made you His slaves. The benefit you gain leads to holy living. And the end result is eternal life.

This week we’d like to encourage you to MEMORIZE the verse and hide it deep in your heart. That is what God’s word says for us to do.

This means spending a few minutes each day reading the verse out loud and then repeating it over and over until you have it memorized. By the third day, you should be able to say most of the verse without even looking!

Romans 6:22 - You have been set free from sin. God has made you His slaves. The benefit you gain leads to holy living. And the end result is eternal life.

We here at Living Scripture Strong are still thinking about Independence Day, and Romans 6:22 helps us better understand the concept of spiritual freedom.

In exchange for freedom from sin — and its eternal consequences — we become servants of God. The fruit (or reward) of our service? Holiness through Christ's cleansing blood and everlasting life in Heaven.

Can you imagine any pleasure that sin can offer that is more gratifying than eternal cleansing, acceptance by God, and rest from sorrow? We can't either.

May you understand the true freedom that Jesus Christ offers. What a wonderful gift!
