Are You Perfect?

Are You Perfect?

How often do you realize you are far from perfect? How often do you seek forgiveness for the errors of your ways? As a believer, this should happen quite often, as we are human and therefore fallible. God doesn’t just decide to like us one day and not the next. He knows you love Him, and He loves you eternally. The fact is faith in God allows us to live strong simply because we believe, it is a promise of hope that should drive us to live better for ourselves and for others every day.

The truth is that none of us are perfect. It is about having confidence in our faith and trusting that even when we make mistakes, we can turn to Christ and find forgiveness. That is a real blessed assurance that can be so easy to lose sight of.

1 John 5:13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have Eternal Life.

John reaffirms us that through Christ we have everything and by Him holding close and keeping Him in first place, our lives can and always will be better.

It is easy to lose hope, it is easy to mess up and think God will never forgive you. But actually God knows we can lose hope and knows we will mess up. However, we can clearly see that no matter what, as long as we have faith in Jesus, the promise of Eternal Life remains and thus we can live strong and live in confidence.

It is all about putting God first. If you can place God first in your life, live as best you can in accordance with the Scriptures, you are more than assured Eternal Life... you are promised Eternal Life!
